FuelSnap ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles user information.

1. Offline-First Data Storage

FuelSnap is built as a privacy-focused, offline-first application:

• All vehicle information, fuel refill logs, odometer readings, station names, notes, and expense analytics are stored locally on your device using an SQLite database.
• We do not operate external database servers that collect, store, or sell your personal fuel logs or vehicle records.
• Any manual backup files you export (JSON/Excel) are stored locally or shared only through services you explicitly choose.

2. Information Collected by Third-Party Services

FuelSnap integrates trusted Google third-party services to deliver app updates and monetization:

A. Google AdMob (Advertising)

FuelSnap displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. To serve relevant ads, Google AdMob may automatically collect and process certain non-personally identifiable information, such as:

• Device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID / GAID)
• IP address and coarse location
• App interaction and ad performance metrics

B. Firebase Remote Config & Analytics (App Stability & Updates)

We use Google Firebase Remote Config to determine if critical app updates or database schema migrations are available. Firebase may collect anonymous diagnostic data such as app version, OS version, and basic performance telemetry.

3. Permissions Used

FuelSnap requests minimal device permissions:

• INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required solely to load Google AdMob advertisements and check Firebase Remote Config for version updates.
• FuelSnap does not request or access your GPS location, contacts, camera, or personal photos.

4. Children’s Privacy

FuelSnap is intended for general audiences and adult drivers (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

5. Data Deletion

Since your data resides on your device, you have complete control over it at all times:

• You can delete individual refill records or entire vehicle profiles at any time directly in the app.
• Clearing the app's cache/data or uninstalling the app permanently deletes all stored fuel history from your device.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
